About MKKU
The Matayoshi Kobudo Kodokan USA has been formed to preserve and spread the ancient art of Matayoshi Kobudo. The MKKU was founded and is directed by Franco Sanguinetti Sensei of San Marcos, CA.
Sanguinetti Sensei holds the ranking of Roku dan (6th degree) in Matayoshi Kobudo. Through the MKKU, he continues with the promise he made to Matayoshi Shinpo Sensei to preserve and promote Matayoshi Kobudo.
The MKKU Honbu Dojo is directly linked with the Matayoshi Kobudo Kodokan Headquarters in Okinawa, Japan. The Kodokan was founded by Matayoshi Shinpo Sensei in honor and dedication to his father, Matayoshi Shinko Sensei, his lifelong teacher and mentor, prior to his untimely death in 1997, the Kodokan Dojo served as the Honbu Dojo for the All Okinawa Kobudo Renmei.
The MKKU hosts National and International Gasshukus for its active members in the United States at the Honbu Dojo in San Marcos, CA and at the Matayoshi Kodokan Dojo in Okinawa, Japan.
The MKKU hosts Gasshukus and seminars for affiliated dojos and its members worldwide.
The MKKU Honbu Dojo is located at 1665 South Rancho Santa Fe Road, Suite A, San Marcos, California.
